PRAYER: As
we came to this place, O Lord, to pay homage and to observe 258th
birth day of your servant William Carey, we first of all would like to seek and
invoke your presence among us for you are our God and the God of your servant
William Carey. We thank you so much for this wonderful moment and for your marvelous
works that have been made known through the life and works of your faithful
servant.
As
we commemorate this day, we submit everything unto you including this hour and the
entire programme of this day. For you are the guardian of all and the provider
of everything we needs, we also seek your guidance and protection and all other
needs for the success of this day.
May
this day be a day of blessing for all; we ask all these things in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ.

I feel very privileged to have this moment of prayer on the 258th birth anniversary of the great William Carey, one of the three founding fathers of Serampore college, who is also known as 'father of modern mission'. This kind of privileged may not falls on me in the future, therefore, to keep the record of this special day, i have decided to make this post on my blog...
